unicorn meat

Background

Unicorn Meat is an alternative meat company founded by Emily Tung in the Bay Area. Their product, a vegan substitute to classic meat products, is made using a microbe fermentation process of chickpeas, wheat, onion, shiitake mushrooms, and dulse (seaweed).

The company recently started selling their product to grocery stores in the Bay Area, and needed a playful package design that highlighted their slogan: β€œEat more unicorns.”

Packaging

The package I designed for Unicorn Meat highlights the key ingredients, company colors, and teaches the consumer how to cook the alternative meat patties. Before and after pictures of the plant-based meat provide the customer with guidance.

Signage

Along with the package design, the company needed signage to be displayed outside of grocery stores to alert customers of the new product. This A-frame sign is simple and straightforward, with a QR code that directs customers to the Unicorn Meat website.

Merchandise

Merchandise for Unicorn Meat includes a lunchbox design, as a form of marketing for the company.
